You Never Know What You Know Until You Know It
I love this picture of Kirsten Mormino of Mormino Landscaping and Holly Kahan of Holly Barry House, because Kirsten told me a great story after our Power Conversations - Powerful Connections meeting. I know Kirsten and Holly from NAWBO and I use both of their services. Kirsten’s team keeps my lawn green and trimmed each year, and Holly provides my business and personal relationships with beautiful gift items. Kirsten and Holly also know each other from NAWBO and have spoken several times at meetings.I really liked the fact that after the meeting, Kirsten told me that her understanding of what Holly did really opened up her own mind to the possibilities Holly could bring to Kirsten’s clients. By sitting down at a meal and discussing business issues, Kirsten and Holly got to see each other outside of their “usual” places and learn more about each other personally and professionally. It was an eye opening experience.
Do you know the people you associate with? Do you REALLY know them? Do you know who their favorite type of client is? Do you know who their worst client is? Do you know what they do with their free time? Do you know who a good referral source is for them?
No matter how long you have known someone, there is always something new to learn. Maybe that next bit of information will send off a brainstorm of activity in order to make the next connection for them. Probe. Ask questions. Connect!
